Vintage candle snuffer is a lovely vintage item, a unique, handmade candle snuffer made of pewter, brass and handblown glass. A lovely, green and gold, candle snuffer.It was made in Athens, Greece in the mid eighties.It is a long stem candle snuffer with brass spacers and handblown, glass beads screwed on its long stemmed handle.The snuffer itself has a conical, bell shape with grooves at even spaces.
There are five metal spacers on the handle, some round and some cylidrical and long with an intricate design, with the central, bow patterned one made of silver plated brass, that is now tarnished and old.
There are six round, green, glass beads and four gold/beige ones with a metallic tint in oval shape on the handle, alternating with the metal ones. These are placed in groups of three, with the central group having the silver bow in the middle.
This candlesnuffer measures about 35cm in length and about 4cm in height (13.7'' x 1.57'').It is not very light or too heavy, but its size is not small either. It is in ggod, vintage condition, other than the inevitable patina of time and it has never been used.
