Vintage ceramic figurine is a handbuilt, stoneware sculpture of an abstract figure.It is a grey and brown ceramic figure,a Greek pottery piece of work made in the mid eighties in Thessaloniki.
This ceramic sculpture is made from thin, ceramic slabs of low fire, stoneware clay.After the figure was made, it iwas fired and dipped in slip in grey and in brown.
Slip is a mixture of wet clay and colour, ususally of oxides, used in ceramics.
The figure has a blouse like front, that is hand carved with lines for decor.It has a general, shabby look.It is in good condition, minus a couple of minor chips only.It would be great for boho interiors or for ceramic figures collections.
This vintgage, ceramic figurine measures 15.50 in height cm x 9.50cm in length x 7cm in width.It is not heavy.
